Flattest shooting varmint calibre

Post by hootshoot » 09 Nov 2013, 8:29 am

Hi guys,

I'm looking to get a semi bench/varmint rifle and wondering what you reckon the flattest shooting calibre is?

Thinking busting bunnies and shooting foxes out to 300 or 400 metre.

Trajectory stuff s**ts me  so want something as flat shooting as possible.

Thanks.

.223, .22-250, .243...

Any of those would do the job.

Hornady do a huge ballistics table here with tonnes of calibres - http://www.hornady.com/assets/files/bal ... istics.pdf

Have a read through that and you can compare the drop of suitable calibres.
