So this is a pretty standard air rifle pellet obviously

I'm no ballistics tech or whatever, but surely this is just about the least aerodynamic it could possibly be?

What's the the flat tops?

I think the idea is that they leave near perfectly round holes so it's easy to score them in shooting comps.

Bearing in mind they're only meant to go 10 metres or whatever it is.

BC doesn't have to be real high :P

Yep, those are typically Match pellets.

Google around you'll see there are hunting pellets which have a more typical tip profile.

50m - 60m pellets are also available in different styles.

Various "marksman" or "long range" types are available which aren't flat.

Just talking air rifles in another topic, Stoeger make pellets for all kinds of things.

Max penetration, max expansion, max velocity or a combination for best accuracy.

Plenty of choice for whatever you're doing.

By a .22 instead and forget the crazy pellets :lol:
