If your manuals don't list 155g projectiles, then use data for 160g and you can't go wrong. The ADI data for that weight is 43.0 starting to 46.0 max, but only ladder testing in your particular rifle will give the best load for you. As each rifle will give different performance, only individual testing in your rifle can help. For instance, 155g in my heavy Omark, using 2206H was 48.4g, well over the listed maximum but developed in my rifle safely. Must say, if you have another calibre, save the 2206H for that and load 2208 in the 308, Cheers.
Yeah wow, 48.4
I would be timid in squeezing that trigger for the first time. But as you said, work up to it.
I ended up loading 40 rounds for testing. 10 of 43.0g, 10 of 43.5g, 10 of 44g and 10 of 44.5g. I have also just invested in a OAL gauge. So was trying to be precise & consistent with that. found my maximum COAL measured 2.770" for the Omark. does that sound about right??
considering i was using the maximum OAL from the manuals and was loading to 2.810 (give or take). So to say I was surprised when I took the new projectiles that deep in the case was new for me. hahaha.
Thanks for the feedback everyone tho. Now some range time to test and I'll be happy.
