American Eagle Brand ammo quite decent stuff. When it hit the market many years back it was military production over runs. You know 55gr 223/5.56, 150gr 308/7.62, 230gr 45acp and the like. What I've been told now is the Federal, yeah Federal Cartridge does own American Eagle, still uses the machinery that makes the mil-spec ammo and still uses mil-spec brass to save money but they now offer wider bullet choices. Still using the mil-spec gear allows them to lower costs and they pass that on.
I've been asked: "How many guns do you need to have?" My answer remains the same: "One more."
