Brett's wife (& she is all woman) was telling me in the shower last week that even though by member is microscopic just like his that I know how to use it better and that my tounge is just amazing.

Must get back up to Sydney when he is next off to comps.

with all the reference to "johnsons" i had to repost this. and i am looking into a new purchase to beat youse all in johnson/caliber compensation. up here in toowoomba a hour west of me, there's a guy selling a 1945 M4A3 sherman tank with a 75mm johnson. should be good for getting into scrub country for pigs. and i'll look into getting a .50 cal johnson machine gun to mount on the turret for wabbits !     thank you heckler303 for making this a really fun forum topic

Looks like a waste of perfectly good rabbit to me.

Re the 'Johnson' comments - There's a difference between responsibly owning a large-bore like I know most of us already do, and then there's taking out something you already know is incredibly oversized, overpowered, for something brutally under-sized. e.t.c just for the thrill of it. It's a wank.

Opposite reaction are the people I've met who've all told me that its inhumane to use .22LR on wallabies, when I've bowled countless numbers of them up to and past 50M with it, before the license expiry date, to be clear.

so heckler303 old mate, your saying if your out looking for pigs and deer with say , a 30-06, you wouldn't take a shot at a small feral animal like a cat because you would blow it apart ? the less feral predators the better i reackon. it definately wouldn't suffer. as i stated in a earlier post, i don't cart my rifle collection around like a bag of golf clubs so i can pick the "right" rifle for any given situation. shooting wallabies with a 22lr ? me personally , i have no interest in shooting native species unless they are a pest. i'd rather use a bigger caliber to ensure a clean kill myself. your remarks to "johnsons" and trying to take a high moral ground are out of place on this topic. there is a graphic content warning on the post as well. if it's too much for you , go back to knitting mate. i also notice if i'm not mistaken , you use a profile image of bryan brown's character from the classic aussie movie "breaker morant". i wonder how breaker morant would feel about your "tut tutting" if you don't like the subject or graphic content go elsewhere instead of constantly baiting people for a stir . had my say, cheers one and all

I'm not offended by graphic imagery. I'm simply pointing out that there is a difference between using what you have if the situation somehow comes up and you have no choice, and then there's bringing an elephant gun to a piglet hunt or a 7MM remington magnum on friggin bunny rabbits. Completely pointless. The same people that tout "i got a bigger caliber because i want to get a humane kill" I've always seen end up shooting something in it's arse and then wondering why it runs for dozens of km's. Just sick of this 'magnum crazy' mentality people have.

well heckler mate, there's a big difference between deliberately going out to shoot a rabbit with a 7mm mag, and shooting a wabbit cause that's what you have on you at the time. being judgemental of other people and assuming a owner of a large caliber rifle doesn't know about shot placement, or has some sort of insecurity issues with penis compensation is just plain wrong on your part. largest caliber i currently own is 6.5x55. i chose this caliber because it's accurate, pleasant to shoot, and is a good all-rounder for the deer, pigs and goat that i intend on targeting. if i see a feral cat,fox or dog , i will shoot it. i'm not going to wonder if it might be a little big for the job at hand. breaker morant, your profile photo, basically said in the feild they did what they had to do to get the job done (under orders ), and used rule .303. good advice ?

i don't beleive the original poster was intending to shoot a piglet with a .500 either. it's what he had at the time. was he out looking for large boar or buffalo ? where do you draw the line ? i know fellas who shoot wild pig in north queensland (where they get quite large i'm told ) and won't use less than a .308 or 45-70 ? is this too much gun ?

Hey Heckler,
Youre right about the difference you point out in regard to bigrich's comments of taking a shot on a cat with a 30-06-i think he twisted the story a bit there (sorry bigrich, you i love ya man...!!! :friends: ) & i to a certain degree, agree with you on the whole over gunning thing...but I think labeling everyone who owns a magnum as having a "magnum crazy mentality" for shooting bunnies with a 7mmRM etc is actually falling victim to the same attitude you accuse these people as having....(in a small minded sense)...

My largest chambered rifle is a 7-08, & it is only my lack of available time & rabbit resources that has prevented me varminting bunnies with it and one day i hope to own a 7mm rem mag, & will most certainly use it on bunnies...but not for ego-over-gunning ego purposes, rather just for enjoying long range shooting purposes & getting better at accurate shooting with a good deal of recoil--ie just for improving myself sporting wise.
.yes my 7-08 & a 7mm magnum is overgunned for the kil of a bunny, but so is my 22-250, as is the 204 on bunnies..in fact add the .222 in there as well...

Im not trying to be smart, im just trying to point out that in this case, the pic the OP landed on the 1st page of this thread doesn't tell the story that he always goes small game hunting with a 500 nitro..

I too dislike the brain deads that go out & get a kick of mashing up animals & even leaving them half alive cos they think they're a cool version of rambo...but im sure most guys on here are the same in that respect...& for all we know the OP may have just wanted to use this rifle because he hasn't shot it for a while & so went for a walk with it....
I hadnt shot my 7-08 for 6 months, & last i was up the farm i pulled it out when i went for a late afternoon bunny looking drive, hoping i could get a 200 yard headshot on little roger...(or is it rojer,,,?) just to get that recoil itch out of my system...!
& although i dont know for sure, im guessing the OP, & for that matter MOST if not all of the guys who have made comments toward supporting him, would NOT go out hunting this over-gunned as a regular rule. :drinks:
