l took the rifle down to the farm for some testing today and am very happy to say it is as good as it was and l do not have any issues with the bedding



in the photo of sighting in and checking the rifle below the top group is the first cold clean shot on its own and two together above it
then three shots into one hole @ 100 after adjustments, pretty happy as l was a bit worried but the repair is good

Congratulations to you for taking on the repair. It looks solid and serviceable. They used to sell "armourers repair rod" to repair cracked SMLE stocks but its getting harder to find nowadays. It had a very coarse thread but if I was doing this repair I'd use threaded brass rod - maybe try the big green store with a red hammer.
