barrel mounted sling band

hey fellas , just after some opinions on barrel band sling swivels . thinking of getting one on a rifle build up as the fore end of the stock is thin. rifles a 30-06 sako L61 barrel profile isn't thin . i'm not going to use the sling for a shooting aid , just for carrying . does a barrel band affect accuracy ?

If it's a beefy barrel I can't see it having any effect on accuracy. It possibly might if you were mounting and dismounting it while shooting, but if it's just going to stay on there it should be fine.
