Tikka T3 not T3X

Anyone fitted an arca rail to their Tikka T3? Unlike the T3X the T3 only has the sling swivel hole for attachment.
Any ideas?
Or pics??
Thanks.

i had to google what a arca rail is ;) . i've swapped t3's and t3x's between each models stocks. that would be the easiest option so far as i know, hunt for a second hand t3x stock , unless the t3 stock can be modified . cheers

Hay Maxy. Search MTNGear.NZ - the fellas manufactures an awesome lightweight arca rail 80 to 260mm long, specifically for hunting rifles,

I normally drill holes through the stock for the bolts and install a nut in the barrel channel.

Cos I is a s**t shot being an old fart, I need all the help I can get.
I got an arca/pic rail which will do nicely, they come with the fittings as well, now just have to bore some holes in my stock to fit. Pic for bipod, arca for tripod.

But then, do you need to carry a tripod? Wouldn't that get old fast?
Hunting for me has to be simple and instant, because most things see me coming.

I was told that Tikkas have a plastic sleeve that tge bolt runs in, is this still the case?
I remember one model having it, and a property owner described that feature mixed with farm dust to be quite a "european" idea.
I only know about pre-T3 Tikkas and Sakos.

I was reading some old Guns'n game magazines I bought online, and Andy Montgomery mentioned it.
Never had a T3 meself.
