M98 recoil pad

Ive picked up a sporter carlgustav m98 and was wanting to put a recoil pad on it (original stock, just been cut down at the front) has any one done this or have any suggestions for the best way to go?

Carl Gustaf never made an M98, you would most likely have an M96, what caliber is it in? I have only ever seen one 6.5 with a recoil pad, it was a standard red rubber Winchester vented that was trimmed to fit by the owner. No commercial pads have been made for the Swede as no one considered the recoil anything to be bothered with, so your best option is to also modify an existing pad to suit the butt profile, Cheers.

Cheers i stand corrected it is the 96. Ill look into what's out there to modify.

Sorry, but what were we talking about :( I couldn't get past Marksman video at " ....insert your fork near the root and go ahead..." and went to pieces at the "hard root veggie"... :lol: :lol:

This may sound a little redneck, but I made an outstanding recoil pad for my old Sportco Model 80 12g from a pair of $2 thongs from Clint's.
Firing 00's and slugs has gone from mule kicks to 223 material.

Well worth a try if you're into DIY.
