DIY Howa trigger job

Post by Member-Deleted » 06 Oct 2018, 5:41 pm

So i just watched this bloke's video tutorial on youtube through once, then followed along while watching a second time, pausing the video when i needed to..
I am a mediocre handyman at best but it was actually a piece of piss for a trained digger.
took me maybe 20 minutes and my .223 now has a crisp lighter trigger., I'm guessing 2lbs.

worth a watch if you have a Howa

Did mine last week on my 308 although i purchased a spring kit from gunbloke on ebay one easy job not as simple as a tikka or sako trigger but not hard. I did a trigger job on my BSA CF2 222 more of a conventional old school trigger slow and steady filing and polishing with 2000grit wet and dry. Man what a pain took about four hours, great outcome brought what was a terribly heavy trigger down to 2lbs. Worst part was ensuring the trigger didn't go off (slam fire ) I hate knocking a rifle around.
