This is from overhearing a conversation at my LGS so a bit fuzzy on a few details.
I was at my store this morning and another guy had brought in a laminated stock which had shattered. Big split from where the top/rear of the action would be back down through the start of the butt plate cutting the stock in half
It was from a .308 and the guy was adamant he just fired it and it came apart, didn't drop it etc. The guys at the store were obviously a bit suss on him and didn't think a .308 could do such a thing.
What do you think?
Anyone had a dud come apart under normal use?
