Sauer 101 - Thumbhole Stock?

Post by ToyotaBoy » 14 Jun 2019, 9:02 pm

Hi guys N gals
Ive been offered a Sauer 101 at a great price in 270cal. The thing is i love wood stocks and this gun is with a polymer camo stock.
I was looking at the sauer web site and they make the 101 with a wooden thumbhole stock but i can't afford the $3000.
Does anyone know of a person that would be able to make a stock similar the one in the picture without the adjustable comb?
Preferably in victoria.
Cheers

Soz probably not a lot of budget choices around, I was looking to get a custom one made for my cheap remmy 270 a while back and ended up going with a Boyd's stock, a lot of the other makers were hitting up three times the rifles value to make one from Walnut etc... So I relented and got a Boyd's, that stock style is featured on the Richards gunstocks site... But dunno how you would go importing one and exporting it from the USA

Sadly Boyds don't seem to do Sauer Actions, I don't see anything for Sauer on Richards either. I do have an uninletted Boyds sitting here doing nothing, there must be someone out there that can do the inletting for that particular action?
