Increasing length of pull on a boyds laminate stock

Post by Potatoes » 13 Jan 2020, 8:42 am

Has anyone here increased the length of pull on their boyds laminate stock?

Salesperson from the big C suggested cutting a black chopping board to create spacers. Any other ideas? (Eg hard rubber, propietry products, etc.)

Cheers.

Kickeez make 1/4" spacers, in the past I have also just put on a thicker recoil pad, ie. a quarter in pad to 3/4" pad

Recoil pad thickness is what I do. Get a thicker pad for LOP, and a nice new recoil pad as well.

I wanted to do this a while ago, ended up cutting and shaping some hardwood. I then wanted a higher comb, in the end just pulled the trigger, pardon the pun, and ordered a Boyd's At-One through Hunting Haven. Should be here mid to end February.

Chopping boards work fine and are cheap.
