Looking for a good smith in Vic. Want to install a Lyman tang peep on one of my rifles as well as a new front sight.

Thanks

Kevin Grinter in Ballarat is really good. I’ve had him do a job for me and it came up really well.

G'day Hatchet Jack,
If Ballarat is good for you, then perhaps Peter Schwarz at Bannockburn would be OK too, his email used to be schwarz@pipeline.com.au, Cheers.

He works out of H Rehfisch and Co on Latrobe St in Ballarat. Give them a buzz and they’ll put you in touch with him.

Thanks mate, hopefully their gunsmithing is cheaper than their ammo.

Ha ha. Yeah, they’re definitely not the cheapest for either firearms or ammo. Still not a bad shop all the same, some good blokes working there.
I think Kevin might work for himself, so I think he prices the cost of any job that he does.

That was just some tongue in cheek mate, when I got my 7x57 I popped in there on my way through Ballarat to get some factory ammo while I was waiting on dies. Federal powershok were $87 a box from memory, so I walked out.

I'm still figuring out which front sight to get at the moment but when I sort it out I'll give him a buzz.

Cheers
