FN/Browning Trombone trigger adjustment

Post by disco stu » 19 Aug 2021, 9:07 pm

Hey all. One got a Browning trombone pump 22. The trigger is very heavy on it, it's almost a struggle to squeeze off a shot it's that heavy. Obviously not good for accuracy.

Just wondering if anyone on here has any experience playing with the trigger on one of these?

Thanks in advance

Hey Stu, have you tried getting in touch with Ron Spittles near Mudgee NSW?

Thanks Jeff. Is he known as being good with the trombone or something? I'll check him out

Someone on another forum said that the trigger lightened up a fair bit when they gave everything in there a good clean, so I'm going to try that once I get the motivation. It's just not a simple to get into the trigger on these like it is with my bolt actions

Hi Stu, not sure but he is held in high regard. Got his referral from more than one dealer in sydney. He is working on two of my rifles atm.

Thanks Jeff. Good to know. A quick Google search gave plenty of results for him, so he is obviously well known.

Do you happen to find your trigger extremely heavy?
