I have a Ruger American 300 Blackout with the olive green synthetic stock.
The problem has arisen whereby the black (presumably) "synthetic rubber" inserts of my rifle grips/holder has suddenly deteriorated.
Now, when I slip a rifle into it, it leaves sticky black mark on the stock.
With timber stocks it comes off with the rub of a cleaning cloth and a little detergent.
But not off the Ruger synthetic stock.
Normally I would try Eucalyptus oil,,,,,, but I know that "eats" a lot of these type plastics.
Any suggestions welcomed for a non damaging solution to my problem.
Thanks in advance.
