How many sizes are there for the Lithgow Bolt heads, and by how much do they differ?

Are we to presume that your question relates to something like the No1-MkIII ?

Sizes for Lithgow bolt heads, Part # BAA3430, #0 = .640", Part # BAA34295, #9 = .639", Part # BAA3427, #7 = .637", Part # BAA3426, #6 = .636", Part # BAA3425, #5 = .635:. Remember that bolt head sizes were not specified or available for early production rifles as Armourers were expected to use the standard bolt head, SAID2991, and grind it to suit the action it was being fitted to, for this reason an Armourer would have a box of various sized heads in his kit and use what worked or shorten what was closest. The method was simple, close on the .064" gauge, don't close on the .074" gauge, actual size didn't matter, Cheers.
