How long is Remington recall repair taking?

Post by dorpel » 05 Jun 2014, 9:31 am

Hi guys,

Does anyone know how long repairs are taking with the current Remington recall?

A shooting buddy has found his 700 is effected so needs to send it off :(

Thanks.

My 700 is one of the affected so I rang my local gun shop where I purchased the gun and they are receiving a bunch of triggers in the next week or so.
they said just pop in any time and they will swap out the trigger.

Too easy.

A few blokes have commented on here that there locals has gunsmiths doing them in house, not sending them out.

So a couple of weeks depending on how full the stores books are.

Yeah, find someone to do it locally.

If you get stuck having it shipped to the states it will take months for sure.

Good they've set up so many repairers to do it :)

Hopefully shouldn't put everyone out for too long.

That's good.

When I read about the recoil to start I was convinced it was going to take months to get sorted :(

Nothing in the end :D
