im looking into getting a replacement stock for an 85 sako
after something with a wide forend bench or thumbhole style stock not worried about adjustable cheek and but pad
possibly go down the chassis road but not my preferred option
has anyone got one on theirs or know of a supplier or maker of such stocks as im finding them not to be that common

Although not on a Sako,,,, I've had great results from Bell & Carlson stocks.

I'm also a big fan of the Boyds Thumbhole stocks.
Can't go wrong with one of those.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
And,,,,It's been proven,,,,, the most trustworthy females in my entire life were all canines.

Yes well watching this with interest but I'm not holding my breath.

I have an 85 stainless sporter with a laminated stock as standard (308, M action I think), and I'd really kill for a nice Sako Walnut Hunter stock instead.
