Rem 7600 stocks

Post by Blu333 » 28 Jul 2014, 11:36 am

I'm in the process of purchasing a Remington 7600 Police (which will be known as "The Yabby Pump") and off coarse as we all do i'm looking at modifications already. The first one for me the comes to mind is the rear stock, i'm looking at the Choate pistol grip with the recoil reducing pad on the back. The photo below is on the normal 7600 with the longer barrel. (police has 16.5")

This gun will be mainly be slung over my back while chasing vermin down on my bike out at chinchilla so mostly looking for; Light, nimble and functional.

Are there any out there that people have used or could recommend that might be more suited? Also any other general advice? :D

P.s not looking to turn is into a "tacticool" nightmare with 100 pic rails for red blue and green lasers coupled with a torch and thermal scope etc.

They look "Fully Sick" as the youngsters say hahaha, second one is 7615 isnt it ? Ive never had the pleasure to handle one. Can I ask what the rails are like? One bloke says they seem a little weak and could bend/bind. Others say there bullet proof ?

Yeah the second is a 7615, but i couldn't find a good photo of a 7600 with a whole lot of s**t tacked onto it lol

I've handled both of them new and used and the 7615 seemed a little weak but both 7600's that i have shot were nice and the 7600P i have handled at the LGS Seemed quite solid.

Ive had a 357 lever for 20 years and Im basically about to sell her for a project gun to when I put her up. But I'm trying to decide on either a 7600 or another lever for fast action shots. The 7600 checks a whole lot of boxes. Let us know how you go, it would be appreciated :D

Keep in mind that to pull the trigger assembly with some stocks you would have to remove the stock.

I hate carrying a 3kg sporter enough as it is. Forget about it with all that crap hanging off it.
