So this is interesting.

This is a "quiet brake" by Accuracy Systems Inc.

Quiet because it pushes the gas forward obviously. Can't see how it does anything for the recoil though sending the gas in the same direction?

Any ideas?

Just a form of suppressor, similar to the shrouds used on air rifles and still classified as a silencer under australian law.

Ok so it's a suppressor, not a brake.

Poor choice of name then.

Looks like a whole lot of fuss compared to just a screw on suppressor which they could have there.

Carrying around that big bull barrel for the sake of integrating the suppressor into it.

Dunno why you'd bother on a .223 either.

A few seem to like them to reduce the hop of their .22 so you can see the bullet impact through the recoil.

Whatever I suppose, if you want it and will pay for it good luck to you.
