Tikka T3 Pillar bedding kit

Post by BradZ » 20 Jan 2016, 1:02 am

I'm going down the route of glass and pillar bedding my T3, even though it shoots sub-moa already, GRS recommend glass bedding all their stocks.

Bedding compound is easy but the only Australian supplier of pillar bedding kits are out of stock and have been for months.

Does anyone know where I could track a kit down? In Aus would be ideal but if I'm desperate enough I'll get it from overseas.

Thanks.

I have sourced pillars from Brownells. They where quite handy because they come threaded (each pillar is three parts) so you can adjust them to exactly the length you want quickly and easily. Once set in bedding compound they don't move.

Otherwise, get someone to turn you up a couple of aluminium pillars.

Is it that big of a deal importing from overseas?

It wouldn't be a customs problem(?) and shipping would be cheap for a pair of pillars surely.

I have a 243 Tikka T3 Lite (stainless with black stock) arriving soon.
Does anyone know if a Timber Tikka T3 Hunter stock will be a straight swap?
Thanks

I'm 99% sure it will.

I have the T3 Fluted Hunter action/barrel put into a Tikka Forest stock.
