Ok....bit of a step up, comparing 8lb rifles, you'd be going from 7ftlbf max, to 50ftlbf....
Can I watch you shoot it  , I reckon your look the first time would be priceless

That's just what I own I have shoot a mates 30-06 308 338 winmag 35 whelan and a few others but in saying that with the 300 RUM you can buy the ammo in power levels power level 1 is the same as a 30-06 power level 2 is the same as a 300 winmag and power level 3 is full power well so they say you can reload them and make them into a power level 4 witch you can't buy coz it boarder lines military spec ammo witch all comes into why I'm buying it so I have more opinions when I'm out shooting

Pissing contest, eh?

I can't blame you. If you have a high recoil tolerance, I say why not? The .300rum is one of my wish list calibers (good as banned in WA, though. Outright rejection of .300rum applications here, then you have to go to the SAT to argue your case) and has great ballistics figures. I've never personally had the chance to shoot one, so can't make any personal comparisons.

Do you reload? I'd suggest you look into reloading if you don't reload already. You'll save yourself a tonne when in comes to .300 factory ammo.

IMO you're doing right to wait and see.

Plenty of rifles, and the Sendero has a good reputation, and more than accurate enough out of the box for what most people want.

Shoot it first and if you're happy you've saved yourself the trouble of bedding it.

G'Day Fella's,

Boss4b, that all depends on how well this rifle shoots now and if you are content with this level of accuracy?

Hope that helps

Just buy a $500 loopy to get you by! Make sure it has plenty of eye relief

I have a roof top tent on my cruiser that I would be happy sleeping in for the next year if it meant I could buy the scope I want now but the misses won't be at all and I have thought about buying a cheepy for now but will just make it longer before I can get the one I want

$3,100... What scope are we talking about?

Your money of course to do with as you please but there are plenty of great scopes for half or 2/3 that price.
