Gunsmith in SE Qld

Post by KennyA » 19 Jul 2016, 9:31 pm

Hi,
I'm looking at getting a muzzle brake for my Howa 1500 varmint in 308.
Can anyone recommend a gunsmith that can thread and fit a muzzle brake in SE Queensland..?
I live on the Sunshine Coast.
Any idea on what this should cost. Threading barrel only
I really do like the look of a nice flush fitted brake in the barrels existing profile.
Any ideas on brands that I should be looking at.

Thanks in advance

I can recommend Linsleys Guns in Dalby. Not convenient but the right guy for the job.

Try Alan Swan in Brisbane; don't have a link, but an internet search will find him easy enough. Very good bloke to deal with, and very reasonably priced.

Pine Rivers Gunshop has gunsmiths on staff. They would be worth a call.

Try trentech, he had a good wrap on the old shooting forum that used to be online.

Ive noticed he has started producing scope rings that BRT are selling so I don't doubt his quality of workmanship.
