So I took the advice. Changing the Marlin sight was easy. But BL22 just wouldn't move. While at it, sighted in Marlin with Skinner front sight and had to move the elevation receiver sight all the way up, otherwise it was shooting too low, so it too is in the shop, getting front sight trimmed. Anyhow, 1. good learning experience. 2. I feel so empty, like that feeling you get when you forget your phone at home, only heaps worse. I didn't even feel that way when I left my little terrors with a sitter for the first time. My girls belong at home, not in a workshop

Has to be driven L-R looking from the rear and no matter how hard I hit it with the hammer and punch it didn't budge. I'm thinking to strip the slide and put it in the oven to see if a little heat will expand the metal enough to loosen the GI Joe Kung Fu grip the sight has on the slide.

Try the freezer first.
