Quick release action bolts?

Post by Rakk » 26 Nov 2013, 9:31 am

This is just for a hair brained scheme of mine but worth asking :D

Does anyone make something along the lines of "quick release" action bolt?

I'm thinking of something along the lines of having a sporter stock and bench stock and being able to snap an action in and out easily as required...

Do such things exist?

My brother in law is actually an engineer or some sort... He could probably put something together if I can convince him to spend the time on it.

Got the phone number for Dragons Den, Harper? :D

two screws, 6-8 turns each. all my rifles are already quick release. maintaining the correct torque is quite important for accuracy also. don't risk shooting a firearm without knowing the action screws are correctly tensioned

It's probably time to get myself a torque screwdriver for this.

I've got two rifles now and I've just been doing them "tight" by hand for months.
