I take all my bolts apart when i first get a rifle ( can't help myself i just need to know ) but fu"k me some are near impossible to get back together, when i first take them a apart a quick clean inspect and lube and then its left until something breaks or malfunctions
I do my Rem 700 bolt about once a year ( Probably no need ) depending how much it's been used! Had a sticky firing pin once ages ago,Maybe made me a little paranoid about it,Haven't touched any of the others. Mick.
the Barnard (f-class rifle) gets stripped and inspected regularly, but the hunting stuff just gets cleaned (oiled) every 6 months or so depending on use. (they get a lot of use), or before heading off on a big hunt trip somewhere.
Depends on how easy it is to strip for me, Sako take a couple seconds so they get a regular clean and oil but others are a right pain so I'll only strip if a problem.
