Hi Guys (and Gals?)
I'd like to protect an old stock, but not make any changes to it, so to speak. I have a feeling that wax is the way to go, not oil. But I am not sure.
I have Birchwood Casey Gunstock Wax, so I could use that. I think oil just wont do anything unless I sand everything down which is not an option (i.e. I don't want to change anything) and I think it may give me a glossy look that I don't want. I know that I could run 000 steel wool over it, to dull it, but again, I don't want to change anything, just protect it.
Is Birchwood Casey Gunstock Wax (just because this is what I have around) the way to go or should I be doing something else? For reference, this is what I am talking about https://enoughgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7168&start=90#p118890
Cheers
