CZ 455 Trigger Job

Post by Lokvo » 21 Feb 2017, 7:59 am

Hey guys,

Just wanted to get the consensus of other's that may have already done a Biro pen spring job on their cz 455 to lighten the trigger pull, is it worth while doing?

I've seen videos of how to do it and it looks relatively simple, I do have the necessary tools required; pin punches etc.

Or that being said should I try adjusting the factory trigger first and see how that goes? there's a nut you can turn in the trigger spring to increase or lighten trigger pull.

I'd try lightening the factory trigger first. I adjusted mine and it was quite noticeable. I'm not that picky with triggers though. No doubt you could adjust even lighter by changing the spring.

I did a job on mine too and would not recommend Without reservation. Getting the pins out is a PITA

I would swear that one was bigger than the hole it came out of  In the end, I pressed it out. Don't ask how I did that.

This topic is covered elsewhere on EG. Perhaps a search would find it for you.

Good Luck

just be warned if you are a so called "safety" user that a lot of the time when

you lighten the cz triggers the rifle will go off when you come off "safe" .

I have adjusted the trigger on my CZ 455 American to as light as I can get it. Which was superior to how it came from the factory, but I am contemplating either going for spring replacement of an after market trigger.
I've been asked: "How many guns do you need to have?" My answer remains the same: "One more."

Don't use a 'biro' spring. There are proper after market springs available.

Thanks for the info guys! It's changed my mind, I think I'll look into genuine aftermarket trigger spring replacements instead of a simple 'biro' spring.
