Bolt case/holder like oversized shotgun shell?

Post by Philimac » 06 Apr 2014, 12:50 pm

Hey,

I saw a bloke with a oversized shotgun shell that has a recess in the side so you can store your bolt in there.

Does anyone know where to buy these.

Or what they are called (I have searched multiple descriptions on eBay)?

Cheers.

Don't know the bit about looking like an oversized shotgun shell but the product described at the above link is a "Lowey Bolt Protector" and they are made in South Australia. They certainly aren't anything to do with shotgun shells.

The lastest release and not listed are the Tikka T3 version.

The metal cap unscrews.

Also available from places like BRT Shooters Supply. Under "Lowey Products".

I have a leather one you can put on your belt. Handy if you're shooting at a bolts out range as it prevents the chance of you dropping your bolt on the concrete or in the dirt.

I bought it from a guy at ssaa ACT majura range
