Tracking down collectable cartridges

Over the last year I've picked up a modest little collection of cases and empty cartridges from the range and about the place, it's getting a little respectable

I'm thinking it's time to crank it up and aim for as full a range as I can get.

All my current bits are all reasonably off the shelf stuff. The ones I'm missing are stuff like the old sharps cartridges, the big African game ones and so on.

To the collectors, did you guys have to just buy the ones to fill in the gaps or did you come across them through mates or fellow shooters at the range eventually?

Look for the huge puffs and smoke at the range

Or if there is a guy on the left and one of the right of a bench and they both have the s**ts at the guy in the middle

He'll be shooting the big boomers.
