Yeah mate, I've seen a few going for around that Price, no way known I was paying that sort of money for a glorified firearm rest! I was lucky I'd already had the Tripod and the alloy plate I got for nothing from the local Engineering joint, all it cost me was the $55 I paid for the tripod so a lot cheaper than shop bought.

And for the 10mins it took to make, why wouldn't I.

A good, solid camera tripod is $300.

Call it a shooting rest and stick the "shooting tax" we all suffer from on top and a real good one would be a fortune.

They aren't even the expensive ones, just the start of the 'pro' stuff.

The heavy duty ones for 'Pro' cameras which are heavier are up to $1,300 that I've seen, just because they can hold a few extra KG of weight.

They're really good, but still ultimately just a tripod.

And you thought shooting was expensive
