Bugger alright, looks like the moon shot is off.
The 1/3hp will be lenty strong enough, onces it's geared down to low range first to get a slow enough drum speed you'll be good to go.
Build looks like it's comming along nicely.
Keep us watching

Are you saying you've spent nearly $700 so far on this thing? You can buy em for around $200 for one of the red or black versions.

Took me a minute to work out what it was.

Being the same colour I thought for a second it was attached and was a fancy digital control screen or something

too slow i will put up the vid when all these rubber necks go to bed and i get some speed here for the computer

it's doing 40rpm so a bigger pully on the motor will fix that , it is only a 1400rpm donk .

but i may just do a batch and just see what happens after 2 hours

Well there you go!
Good work.
And people recon Ausies can't MAKE things (When you going into full production?)
Probably cost twice as much as a shiny red one but who cares.
YOU made it, it works, you can fix it, you can improve it, I'll bet that's exactly what you'll do.
When that little plastic bit breaks rendering the shiny red one useless,, who's laughing now?
Hope I'm around to see MK.II

Love it :drinks:

Best thing about that set up is you will know how to fix it all if it ever plays up and know all the parts straight away. That's half the mucking around trying to repair anything these days.

Yeah I reckon I'd go that way too to keep costs down or treadmill motor or even a dryer motor might be usable.
