bigrich I have owned tons of mausers, strong & accurate. But there is nothing in bolt action that compares to an Enfield for it's speed and slickness. Lever action in a bolt gun. BUT...….the stock design of an Enfield with it's rounded steel/brass buttplate in a thin stock that directs the recoil force into a 1 inch band to your shoulder is a f*ckng torture device. The Germans were way kinder to their Infantry.
