I bought one of those moraknivs a while back based on all the hype, lost its edge after one deer and steeling it did almost nothing. Bit too ridgid/clunky for field dressing for my prefferences.
Definitely more of a "bushcraft" style. Mine has been relegated to bait chunking for shark fishing.

I have nothing but praise for mine

Broken down half a dozen deer with it this year and have only touched the steel a couple times, still sharp. I stick to the one knife for field dressing and a scalpel for intricate caping work.
Ive previously used Victorinox and Swibo but neither as good as this one.

Yes, they're an awesome cheap knife. I was using them to fillet salmon professionally.

For the price I love them, abuse them, loose them, lend them i dont care and they keep going.
Feel great in my hand and do it all for me, but I am not overly fussy with field knives, in the kitchen is a different story.

I recently bought a Buck Guthook Zipper. https://www.buckknives.com/product/buck ... 0191FAM01/

It takes an edge nicely, feels very good to handle. It is a solidly built knife that has the feel of a good quality product. I also like the leather sheath it comes with. I lent it to my brother in law last weekend and he used it to dress some Roos for dog meat. It seemed to do a pretty good job. It sits nicely on the belt as well and is a nice overall length in my view.
