Making more leather stuff.

Just finished another comb raiser for a club member’s Sharps rifle that has a very low comb designed for barrel sights rather than the tang mounted vernier sights that are on it.
When the sights are raised up for long range shots his cheek isn’t touching the rifle at all. He had previously been making do with a lump of wood duct taped on lol
This one is plus 45mm - quite tall but that’s how he wants it.
The last time I made one of these the owner started beating us all. Might have been a bad move!

There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.

Hey Noisy...
Nothing wrong with taped on throw together on the spot cheek riser...they can be very effective...

A bunny buster like that is tool - like a hammer. A Sharps requires a little style lol.

I agree but used what I had. Actually it threads up easier and is easier to tighten and tie up than leather lacing. If it were my rifle it’d get leather lacing.

It’s all saddle stitched by hand.
