Wolf eyes seal torch vs nitecore P30

So, a little while ago I decided to test out a few serious LED torches for some spotlighting.
The wolf eyes seal claimed over 1000 lumens and a no bulls4$t 500metre range at $270+ and the nite core claimed over 1000 lumens with also a 500m range but was just $60.

So results might surprise.
The nitecore absolutely blew the WE torch completely out of the water.
Both 500m claims are plain silly but I could take a 300m shot with a fully charged nitecore but maybe only 180m with the wolf eyes...I was pretty dissatisfied with the wolf eyes to be honest. It’s a decent light but not for the $$$.

It’s hard showcasing the difference in the real world so I just took two fully charged torches and put them on white paint. You can see the difference here quite easily as to which one is throwing the most light but in the real world - the difference is a LOT.
The wolf eyes light has adjustable lens, but it’s also a LOT heavier.
After this test, I bought some more inexpensive led torches for comparison, including astrolux, plight, Coleman, etc in the 800-1200 lumens range - but NOTHING comes close to the nitecore thus far. This one lives on my .22 now and I bought several more for family/friends for Xmas. Bloody great torch for a very good price!

I had one of my Wolf-Eyes 'Broadsword torches fail; the circular base where the battery spring at the back of head mounts, has broken the solder, so the spring now forces the base back into the head.

Contacted Wolf-Eyes a few days back, to ask about replacement parts, or advice on how to split the head apart to repair it myself.
Torch is nearly 6 years old, but cost over $125 at the time.

Reply was thats a VERY old model ( 6 years? Really? Old???), and they no longer stock parts for it.

Turns out Wolf-Eyes cant even tell me how to spilt the alloy/brass housing around the head, so I could even braze the base back on myself.
They said they didnt know how to do it, as they just supplied replacement parts in the event of failures.

I REALLY like this torch, but I'm a bit hesitant to buy another if they are so quick to abandon them.

Nite core have their own website
http://nitecore.com.au/nitecore-p30

More reviews here
https://g.co/kgs/Bf19py

BUT - they are cheaper here;
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NITECORE-P3 ... Swc3RbI8zd

I actually bought one from China to see if it would be a knock off and it was 100% exactly the same as the Hong Kong one and the locally delivered one...

I actually gave up on wolf eyes after my own issues with warranty and I’m kinda glad I did because I would not have found these and they are a better torch for much less $$$
