I’m in the market for a shooting mat.

Suggestion, pros, cons etc

I use a Platatac Gonk Mat - cheap, compact, versatile.

I would suggest Joe Balls canvas he is a shooter and makes a huge % of the shooting mats used in Target Rifle (full bore) and F class. Tell him what you want and he will make it to your specs or one of his standards. Very well priced as well I think they are basically at his cost his main business in canvas products not related to shooting the shooting products are because he is passionate about the sport and wants to support it the way he can.

10 bucks, various sizes to choose from ... does the job, plastic on the back, fluffy on the top. keeps you out of the sand and dirt. May need to pin the corners down on windy days.
