I have known about gut hooks for many years but with care have never needed them I always like to make my skinning cuts from the inside out to avoid dulling my knives by cutting through abrasive hair. I bought stuff recently not for the gut but for running round the skinny jocks on hung animals. I’m a big fan of havalon knives. This new multi tool from havalon fortunately has the blade and the gut hook positioned so that both are available at same time so it’s just a simple rotation inside the hand to acces eaither Then I realised carpet knive blades might b the go to. Too pointy I think to use safely on the guts but looks like the go for the hocks. And I love the idea of replaceable blades instead of attempting to sharpen my gut hook on my havalon
