Atlas Bipod 5-H BT35-LW17

I just bought this today lads for my Ruger 338 lapua. Who on here has one of these and how do you find them? I finely decided on this model because it is a bit more heavy duty than the other atlas bipods for bigger calibres. The dollar is hell crap at the minute and I spent my last cent to buy this.

I use one on a 378 Weatherby, it hasn't fallen apart yet. Tried using metal feet but didn't like them shooting off rocks. What are you using your plinker for?

That’s a lot of coin for a pod - would want to be a bit special or do something extra in my book.

Thats good mate so it holds up to the big caliber?. How long have you had it for? All the videos I see of them show the good build quality. I want to do a little bit of target shooting and maybe even shoot a few pigs on the farm nothing too extreme. Maybe 300m

Its the dollar mate. They are only $400 in America. They can take the pounding of a bigger caliber. What do you use on your 300winmag?

I’ll chalk table and use a Harris or an actual rest / bag. Granted - recoil is not close to 338 though...

I was looking into buying one of these large bipods for a 338 a while back but never got around to it, I'm currently borrowing an Atlas PSR from one of my other rifles when shooting it and that has worked fine so far.

However when I was looking to buy, I was leaning more towards this Accu-Tac FC Gen 2 model which is very comparable to the Atlas 5H. It has very similar specs and looks the goods, would be interested in hearing from anyone who has one of these.

(I think it's also sold out everywhere I can find it in Australia, wouldn't exactly be keen ordering from U.S at the moment.)

I have had a few things fall off a Harris bipod but the Atlas is pretty rugged. A friend bought a Chinese knock off Atlas for $60. I thought it would be rubbish and I was a bit suprised how good it was. You can see it is not an Atlas but it works well for him and it was hard for me to justify why mine cost ten times as much.
