I got a 20 gun safe, key and number pad together to open, with a 2nd key in case the pad battery dies. I’ve got 11 firearms in there and it’s standing room only, they must work out capacity using small unscoped .22’s.

I was figuring that they used single shot .410s

Yes 12 really tiny guns or 4 regular sized with scopes

The difficulty for manufacturers is to state an actual capacity of "five scoped rifles" just doesn't sound as good as a "20 rifle safe". They need to just list internal dimensions.

I've managed to stuff 7 guns into a lockaway 8 gun safe, but it's an arse ache

The standard for a firearms safe is a unscoped 410 single barrel shot GUN that,s why they say a 10 GUN safe not 10 Rifle safe
