There are lots of online reviews of earplugs for shooting, such as:

https://noblerate.com/best-earplugs-for-shooting/

I use the NoNoise (green) for shooting small bore and 22 pistol and double up with external ear muffs when people bring out their muzzle break rifles or magnum pistol ground shakers. The amplified external ear muffs such as the Howard Leight Impact Sport work really well when doubling up as you get some control of levels so you can still hear people but shots don't get much louder.

The moulded plugs have good reviews too but I haven't needed to try those yet.

Just be aware that is a USA company. Soo, the quote that the plugs reduce the level of noise by 32dB, is an NRR rating, NOT ANZ SLC80 Noise Reduction NRR rating is a USA ANSI noise testing Std. Our system is the ANZ Standards. Here are some equivalents that I have managed to glean from some product specifications.

Sooo, if they state that the reduction is 32dB NRR it is really ONLY about 25dB (Class 4) using the Australian standards.

I was just reading about your hearing condition called hyperacusis.

No expert here, but you may find you need to wear both plugs and class 5 ear muffs.
