Timney Triggers - Ebay vs retail stores

Post by duddley75 » 02 Apr 2022, 8:18 pm

So I am considering a new Timney Trigger for my Howa 1500.

The item is the 609 Timney Trigger.

My dilemma is retail stores such as CleVers etc have it for $350 odd. However EBay has it for $130 odd

https://www.ebay.com/p/1828587642

It appears the item is also new.

I am sceptical as to such a price difference, should I be worried?

You are located in Australia but looking at the US site. The price is in USD. Also postage is not specified and if the guy will post expect it to be around the 50-100USD mark. Then ebay will add GST/Duties of around 10-15%.

Hopefully that makes sense. The spring option is probably the best and cheapest

You are correct. Don't know how I missed that , being the USA site. At least that explains the difference. thanks :D

And you will need an import permit for a trigger.

Just a follow on from BLR243 comment regarding a new spring set..

I installed the very fiddly springs, but not too difficult.

Has it changed/transformed my rifle as suggested...HELL Yes it has. My groupings have really tightened up. So far shot it at 500m and 800m and so much of a difference even other club members have commented how much it has improved my scoring.

Thanks for the suggestion BLR243, best $20 I have spent.
