OK thx. But I ordered one pretty similar on Friday to that one. I think about 1500lm with a 26560 batt.
It's the identical led that was in the one I had so will do what I need. Smaller too, which is a small plus.
Will get here pretty quick looks like it's in NSW.

My needs are not great TBO. 150yards is plenty for me.

The other was good for about 200 I reckon.

You miss understand my need.

1. A general purpose torch.
2. Once in a blue moon spot lighting out to say,,,150 yards.

Just an ipdate.
By the time some of the posts were posted above I had already ordered a torch the led was same as the old Aldi (XHP50 )
So I figured it would do the job.
I got the larger battery. (26650) The torch is smaller than the Aldi & probably because it only has 1 battery. But I had a preference for a shorter torch.
This tooch has a zoom and charges via a lead. Not sure about the other ones?

Well, it arrived today and just waved it around the nebourhood.
IMO will be fine out to about 150 yards or so. Perhaps further. My main use was general torch plus just the occassionally spot lighting if required. Perhaps once a year.

At this point if your looking for a general type torch just occasionally used for spot lighting I can recommend this. Not the best perhaps but should suffice.

Should be able to illuminate black holes deep in space with all those lumens.

Yeh just BS. Lol The same led in the Aldi was rated 1500 lumens. I still have the "manual" and it appears to be about the same.

Big Pete. Kitchen scales say 263 grams

Just three things I don't like. :(
It has about 4 or 5 modes. So you have to scroll through them to turn it off.
High, medium, low, strobe, flashing. I would have preferred just high and low power. Most seem to have these "modes".

It's bloody black. Easy to loose it in the dark. But they all are, what is it with black and china? So put some white insulation tape around it.

The cover for the charge plug does not seem very secure. I thought it might leak water eventually. So it got the white tape treatment too.

But for $27 ideal for me for camping. And can charge it in the van or car. Easy peasy

So, was out yesterday. Left just after dark. So, I'd say good for 150 to 170 yards as a spotlight. You can see a lot further with it though.

Bought one of these, am pleased with the performance.
Last couple of weeks have taken 40+ fast and easy one shot kill bunnies out to 120Y with the red filter using 17HMR with a VX3 set on 12x.
Even under a full moon the red filter was fine out to 150Y with quality optic (Lynx & Leopold)
Brilliant as a carry torch too.
