As I prefer not to wear hearing protection anyway these are probably a step-up I would think
Hearing protection is mandatory at the LERAA shoots on the line, your choice if you want to wear such when you're behind the line. Foam ear plugs will do me fine but they are annoying to take in and out. The pair I've been using were yellow originally, now they're a dirty grey from being in my pocket for the past six months or more.
I'm more concerned about how well they remain in position, not how much decibel protection they offer.
