Bipod mounting question

I've decided to buy a basic cheap bipod. About 5" to 9". Will only get very occasional use. But would like to be able to swap it between my three centrefire rifles.

All three have sling swivels but two of the rifles (the X7 Marlin BAs) the sling swivel attachment does not screw out as they a moulded into the plastic forend.

1. What type of mount do I need?
2. Any recommendations?
3. Will this cheapo ebay one work?

Yes, that bipod should be able to grab the swivel just fine. The old Harris bipod uses that system, which I do find annoying as am always having to tighten it.
It has a pair of plates that pass up through the mounting plate with pins in them. You push the pins into each side of the swivel, then tighten the screw. This draws the mounting plate up around the attaching plates and into contact with the stock. The mounting plate hole is only slightly wider than the attaching plates which is what prevents them from popping out of the swivel. I happen to be playing with a rifle with this bipod on it right now so took some pics.

I think that is the best price I've seen on those Harris knock-offs. My genuine Harris is steel and rusty, the knock-offs I have are aluminium, much nicer. I find the sprung Harris style to be overly noisy so I prefer the manual bipods.

Will get very little use. But have needed one a couple of times in a new location trying to ambush foxes and deer. There was really not much available so moved location and used shooting stix, which I prefer anyway.

I wouldn't leave a bipod on, I like the use of a sling and fairly light rifle.

I'll grab one. Shame I didnt ask earlier , I'll be heading off on Wednesday and it's unlikely it will arrive in time.

Check out the Xhunter store on ebay he has good knock off bipods well priced. his stuff seems to be brand name Chinese if that makes sense.

Don't like them myself. Just stuff up the balance of the rifle.

I find them especially useful when I carry three rifles down the paddock, it saves me having to lay them in the dirt, grass or mud. I'll generally have one on me somewhere if I don't have it on the rifle.

It's a bit hard shooting a 18lb rifle without one I find .

Hell,8lb is heavy enough

I've already ordered one off evilbay based on BRs comments. Should do the job.

It's use is limited for me. Just once in a while in open country. Don't even have to carry my 8lb rifle more than about 1km.

I still have the 27" harris that you can sit behind now that's a handy bit of kit for open country when you don't even have grass for cover

I have a selection of bipods, different designs, attachments and lengths on the wall next to the safes. I grab the one that is best suited to what I'm doing at the time. If I'm going to be shooting from the ground and the grass is long then I might grab a longer one.

Yeah I have one to but it's crap I made the mistake of buying BOG death grip

I came up with this idea and made a set about 3 years ago.
Then about 12 months ago found this. So, some one beat me to it. Lol

Yes almost anything will work. (Like my fancy cheek piece ) Some are just more refined than others.

I think you gentlemen have different mounting systems in mind. The last couple of suggestions are likely to interfere with target acquisition
