Single point slings question.

I currently use a "safari" sling for hunting.

But thinking of trying one of these single point slings.

Can you fit these to a rifle with a classic stock? Nothing obvious comes to mind.

I haven't seen it you need a ring near the back of the bolt like this for them to work if you get that sorted it will kind of work .
I find it a lot easier to use if the rifle or shot gun has a pistol grip and they are very fast to get on point .

That's what I use. My modern hunting rifles all have pistol grips and chassis which make attachment easy, but I also use them on old-school rifles. I use paracord to fabricate an attachment point, but big cable-ties are good too. I don't have one set up right now to get a photo, but it's basically a loop around the forend and a loop around the pistol grip with a length of cord between the two along the left side to attach the sling to. I did it with the SMLE when I was practicing last year but can't find any pics of it just now.

I think I get the gist.
IMO the connection point needs to be near the "balance point"

Not forward of balance point but it can be anywhere behind it. The further back you come though the closer to the ground the muzzle gets.
Just tie a knot in the paracord to limit where the sling attaches. And you may want to put some tape or padding on the wood to prevent any marring, the better slings have the hook wrapped in elastic material though.
