Labradar / Garmin comparison

Post by No1_49er » 18 Mar 2025, 5:26 am

There has, in recent times, been a lot of comment about the Garmin Xero C1 chronograph which has gained very favourable reviews. I have used, but do not own, one and they certainly are an easy piece of kit to use.

But, I have seen very little feedback or review for the Labradar equivalent. Its functionality is, apparently, very similar in most respects to the Garmin. In the US they have suggested retail prices that are identical, so clearly being pitched at the same market.
The simplicity of the Garmin has reduced the "big orange" Labradar to a state of (almost) give-away prices on the 2nd hand market.

Has anybody had experience, yet, with the Ladradar LX and feel confident to comment on its attributes ??

There is another unit being released here in April i believe by athlon (the scope copany). Extremely comparable to garmins with slightly bigger screen, different features, etc. But at rrp of $800 it's $300 cheaper than the garmin.

I paid only $679 for my Garmin thru Amazon when they had a sale, not sure on current pricing but I saw someone posted a $779 the other day

every shot that I fire at the range has the Garmin beside the barrel, great little tool :drinks:

Sorry have no personal experience with the labradar, but I have used friends garmins, liked it enough to get my own. :)
