to bloody noisy for me and i still can't keep it on target at 900 on 22x

and after all it is just a 7mm mag so it don't really need one .

edit it gave it the same recoil as my 25-06

A brakes recoil reduction really is great but a braked magnum does get the ears ringing

Here's the HSS muzzle brake fitted on my Savage 10FP 308win. Looks great, excellent finish.
Just need to get to the range now.............

Use good hearing protection...simple. My braked .30-06 is loud at the best of times...with or without the brake on. With good hearing protection is just not an issue.

Brakes obviously do make a shot much louder but people carry on about it a bit too much IMO.

Hearing protection's a must.

If you're hunting what's two or 3 loud shots in a day? Nothing.

If you're on the bench with good hearing protection it's manageable. Or if you're already deaf

Depends on what you'll put up with and how well you pad the ears.

I have never liked clamp on muzzle brakes,they run at tight tolerances so always the threaded type for me.

Tight tolerances is a good thing, why would you want sloppier machining?

Not sure what that has to do vs a thread on brake either?
