Clamp on muzzle brake looks the goods

Post by Bennybigbores » 19 Oct 2014, 7:14 am

Search on eBay item no. (161445876363) clamp on muzzle brake made in Aus made to suit your barrel dia. And replaceable calibre bushings, six hex screw clamp, all reviews and feedback look positive no the cheapest but compared to threading a barrel and then buying brake. I've contacted seller he claim he's had one bad feed back out of 500 odd units sold going to have to try one and see I spose, unless any others out there have one be nice to hear!

If you are talking about a Hinterland Shooting Supplies clamp on muzzle brake they work just fine. Never had a problem with it. This one goes on a .30-06.

There are other clamp on muzzle brakes available overseas.

But why not purchase a local product that works very well. If you can't get your muzzle threaded, for whatever reason, the HSS brake is a very good alternative.

They turn my .30-06 into similar recoil of a .243 or there about's with 180 grain projectiles. Just get your muzzle dimensions right…have to use a vernier calliper.

+1

I was going to say turns a 300wm into .243 recoil... Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

With smaller projectiles, like 150 or 125 grain it feels more like a .223.

I don't always use the brake, it pays to take it off sometimes and confirm your shooting position is OK by getting hit with the full recoil.

$9.95 p&h listed on eBay, I'm getting one if not two one for the .308 for starters see if it's as good as they're saying, hard to find anyone local with the skills for barrel threading so next best option I guess
